The Green Man Hostel and Pub offers London Backpackers the unique opportunity to stay above a traditional English Pub. We offer cheap accommodation in safe and clean dormitories, with great facilities including free Breakfast, free WiFi internet access and free use of Security Lockers.
The Green Man Pub has been on this site since the 1800s, making it a historic London establishment. Our Bar features a wide range of English Beers and Ales to try and a 24 hour liquor licence for hostel guests. The friendly atmosphere and great drinks specials give you the opportunity to meet the locals and our international visitors. Our Pub Kitchen serves up traditional favourites for Lunch and Dinner. Live Music and Events are on weekly and our three flat screen TVs with Sky Sports show all major sporting fixtures.
Our location in central London Zone 1, puts hostel guests within walking distance of Baker Street, Madame Tussaud’s, Oxford Street, Marble Arch and Hyde Park. We are also immediately beside the Edgeware Road Underground Station (Bakerloo, District and Circle Lines) and two stops from Paddington Station and the Heathrow Express Train.

Our three Hostels offer excellent value for London group accommodation. With central London locations and a wide variety of private rooms and shared dormitories, our versatile and cheap group accommodation has something to suit everyone. We offer great discounted group hostel rates for groups of 15 or more people at any of our three London backpackers. Best Place Hostels welcomes University and Student Groups, Sports Teams or Tour Groups. With each of our friendly group hostels being situated above traditional London Pubs we are ideal for Hen and Stag Accommodation. Unfortunately we are unable to accept school groups or groups under 18 years of age for licensing reasons.

Nearest Tube:
Edgware Road (Bakerloo Line, Hammersmith and City Line, Circle and District Lines)
From the Edgware Road Bakerloo line station, simply turn right and on the next corner is the Green Man pub, the reception is inside.
Edgware Road Circle/Hammersmith & City and District line Station:
Coming out of the underground station look right, walk up past the Marks and Spencer’s Department store. Turn right onto Edgware Road, continue past M&S and cross the road under the bridge (flyover.) On the next corner you will see The Green Man, reception is inside.
Bus:
Getting of the bus number 205 or 18, continue walking in the direction the bus is going and the bridge will be on your right.
Nearest Train Station: Paddington
Take the Underground via Bakerloo to Edgware Road, one stop.
Or you can walk!
Come out of the station and turn left. Continue walking until you get to an intersection where you will be at the front of the Hilton London Metropole Hotel, if you look to the left there should be a bridge. Cross the road here and go under the bridge where you will arrive at the Edgware Road Bakerloo line station. At the very next corner there will be a pub called the Green Man. The reception is inside.
